The Gardon, next to the campground
With its clear water, pebble beach, and large rocks, Le Gardon is a place where generations of campers have shared so many memories.
Here, the river is an integral part of the vacation. We swim in it, gather there, and simply enjoy nature. It’s an authentic experience that gives our campground its charm and uniqueness.
The calm water, beachfront

From the campground, it’s just a few steps to the pebble beach, no roads to cross and no cars to worry about. Near the beach, the water is shallow for several meters, the surface is calm, and the shoreline is flat. The little ones can splash around while their parents read in the shade of the trees.
Here, we head down to the river in our swimsuits after lunch, linger there until the end of the day, and then leisurely make our way back to our campsite. Some campsites even offer a direct view of the Gardon River.

The clear water, rocky side

You can swim here while watching the Cévennes Steam Train go by, venture out to the rocks where you can jump in, or discover the river in a whole new way during an introductory scuba diving session. There are so many opportunities to share wonderful moments with your family.
In the early morning, when the campground is still asleep, in the afternoon sun, or in the gentle evening air, the Gardon River reveals a different charm at every moment.
