A story about family
Camping de l’Arche opened its doors in 1966. That year, Pierre and Edith, our grandparents, welcomed the first campers to their property in the Cévennes, along the Gardon River. David, their son, grew up here and later worked alongside them. In the 1990s, he took over the business with his wife, Annie.
For more than thirty years, they worked to improve the campground, carefully planning each feature to enhance comfort without compromising the site’s natural character.
Today, for us, revisiting Camping de l’Arche means making a choice : continue as independent contractors. This is the kind of camping we love, and the kind we want to keep doing.

Camping with us is...
Wake up to the sound of birds singing, hear the river flowing below, pick up a croissant at the grocery store, and then enjoy breakfast overlooking the Porte des Cévennes as the first rays of sunlight appear.
Camping with us means creating family memories.

Places for living and sharing
A campground is, first and foremost, a place where people live together. Here, the campsites are spacious, and the rental units are arranged in terraces along the hillside.
With 260 campsites and 42 rental units, we've preserved the spirit of camping while adding the comforts of a five-star resort. There's something for everyone here.

A natural setting
Our campground is a veritable arboretum. Over the course of several generations, 54 tree species from around the world have been planted across more than 10 hectares : American oaks, Canadian maples, Japanese cherry trees, Virginia tulip trees, Persian lilacs…
At the heart of the campground lies the Garden, with its few grapevines producing table grapes and its herb garden, both of which are also available for your use. On the higher ground of the campground, we have deliberately preserved two hectares of hillside, a wonderful place for a stroll.
